Marchand Petit’s Dartmouth office has been working with the owners for the last couple of years and we are managing sales and viewings. BBH Architects has provided architectural and project management services in the transformation of Hillfield Village since 2001. We are currently building four new dwellings on site, whilst refurbishing existing properties and designing proposals for further phases of development. Our design philosophy employed from the start was to provide a unique holiday setting with an eclectic mix of architectural styles and landscaping to ensure that Hillfield Village didn’t look like a new housing estate and enabled visitors to be part of a large holiday complex while at the same time feel that the units offer good privacy and a high standard of facilities.
Hillfield Village sits in a sheltered valley with its own microclimate, so there’s a wonderful diversity of plants here, from flora and evergreen to 300-year-old beech trees, plus an amazing 270° view of the surrounding countryside. For the past 3 years we have managed all the garden maintenance, lawn upkeep and landscaping for the developments on-site. We have generated height in the planting to ensure each property feels private, and this subtle screening also creates sun traps on the patios and gardens in each part of the complex.
We know all properties inside and out, having looked after them since early 2013, and we look forward to providing this complete service to new property owners within Hillfield Village. Because we are based within this gated community, we react immediately to last minute bookings, changeover days are smooth and efficient, plus we ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout. We offer a very personal quality service, and if we notice a light bulb needs changing, or anything else for that matter, we quickly notify the on-site maintenance team. It’s a great safety net plus the extra touches such as the Riverford boxes or Tideford food parcels give a warm, welcoming impression the minute a guest arrives.
Thrings are the corporate law firm working with Yellow Bridge Developments LLP supporting them through the acquisition, development and now sale of a selection of properties within this bespoke development in the heart of the Devon countryside. Hillfield Village itself is a unique and idyllic destination with an exciting range of properties to suit a complete variety of buyers. It’s a real escape away from hectic daily life where outdoor pursuits and beautiful scenery are right on the doorstep for everyone to enjoy.
I love Hillfield Village because it’s close to the coast but immersed in Devon countryside at the same time, plus it’s hidden away from the crowds. The style of interiors at Hillfield is contemporary country to reflect the natural environment, and where relevant I have incorporated original features such as stone walls and arched doorways into the design. I have worked with the owners for the last two years and have particularly enjoyed redesigning the show homes and Grade II Listed ‘Old Barn’.
We have worked closely with Hillfield Village since March 2013, providing their guests with discounted rates to use our two golf courses and our refurbished ‘Dartmouth Spa’, all located less than two miles away from Hillfield Village at Best Western The Dartmouth Hotel, Golf and Spa.
